काठमाडौ,
२०६६ आश्विन ३१ - एक फिलिपिनो कामदारको हत्या अभियोगमा कुवेतको केन्दि्रय
कारागारमा सजाय बेहोरिरहेकी नेपाली युवती डोल्मा शेर्पा सन् २०१२ को जुन
१९ सम्म जेलमा रहने भएकी छन् । कुवेत सरकारको गृह मन्त्रालयले विहीबार
गरेको निर्णयमा डोल्मा थुनामा रहेको २००७ को जुन २० देखि लागु हुने गरी
पाच बर्ष जेल सजाय हुने भएको हो ।
'यो निर्णयको कपी लिएर हामीले कुवेतमा नियुक्त गरेका कानूनी सहयोगी आयद अल
सुवाइ यहा दुतावासमा आइपुग्नुभएको छ,' साउदी अरेबियाको रियादस्थित नेपाली
नियोगका राजदूत हमिद अन्सारीले शनिबार ईकान्तिपुरसंग फोनमा भने ।
यसअघि डोल्माले गरेको भनिएको फिलिपिनो युवतीको हत्या सदर भएपछि सुरुमा
मृत्युदण्ड र पछि पीडित परिवारले 'ब्लड मनी' स्वीकार गरेपछि डोल्माले
पाउने सजाय आजीवन कारावासमा टुङ्गएिको थियो ।
'राष्ट्रिय-अन्र्तराष्ट्रिय समुदायको पहल र आग्रहलाई हेरेर आजीवन
कारावासको लामो अवधी पनि जम्मा पाच बर्षमा सिमित भएको छ,'अन्सारीले भने ।
गृह मन्त्रालयले गरेको निर्णयमा अब झण्डै तीन बर्ष मात्रै डोल्माले कारवास
सजाय बिताउनुपर्नेछ । 'पि्रन्सिपल अफिसको आदेशअनुसार यो निर्णय भएको रहेछ'
राजदूतको भनाइ थियो-'सजाय अवधी अझै घट्न सक्ने सम्भावना छ ।'
गोर्खा माइती र सिन्धुपाल्चोक घर भएकी डोल्मा रोजगारीको खोजीमा कुवेत
पुगेकी थिइन् । एउटै घरमा काम गर्ने फिलिपिनो कामदारको हत्या अभियोगमा
फसेयता डोल्माको बचाउ अभियानमा राष्ट्रिय-अन्र्तराष्ट्रिय जगतबाट नेपाली
समुदायको सहयोग रहदै आएको छ । सरिया कानूनअनुसार हत्यामा परेका पीडित
परिवारलाई १० हजार डलर 'रगतको मूल्य' बुझाएपछि उनले पाउन लागेको
मृत्युदण्ड आजीवन कारावासमा टुङ्गएिको थियो ।
'झण्डै २०/२५ बर्ष सम्म हुन सक्ने आजीवन कारवास अहिले निकै छोट्टएिको
छ,'राजदूत अन्सारीले भने-'सिंगो नेपाल र नेपालीले गरेको आग्रहलाई कुवेत
सरकार र न्यायपालिकाले आत्मसात गरिदिएको छ, यो आफैंमा खुशीको कुरा हो ।'
बिशेषत ब्लड-मनी स्वीकार भैसकेको अवस्था र न्यायलयले यो आधारलाई समेत सदर
गरेपछि डोल्माको लामो सजाय छोटिएको हो ।

We sympathize the criminals, follow criminals and glorify them for their killing is social culture of Nepali.She killed just one poor women.It is natural we would sympathize and try to help her.If she had killed many we would have glorifier more about her.Damn care the victims, they always do something wrong to deserve their fate.
We like her to get free quickly because she is one of us.We call her victim because she found smarter way to disobey government directive not to go there and trusted Dalals more than anyone else.We call her victim because she killed her co-worker.
Our love for impunity and lovelessness don't end in Nepal,it extend to all over world.
