CONSULAR OPERATIONS RESUMING, AMERICAN CENTER REOPENS MAY 1 April 28, 2006 The U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section will provide certain services as of May 1 and will return to full operations by May 15. The American Center Library also will reopen on May 1. Both the Consular Section and Library are located in the Yak & Yeti Complex (west wing). They were closed April 19 because of unstable security conditions in Kathmandu. Nepali visa applicants who have scheduled interviews at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi before May 15 are encouraged to keep those appointments. The Embassy in New Delhi will continue serving Nepali visa applicants through that date.
